Event Details
Event Details
We hope you and your organizations are already aware of the ‘5G Mobile Now!’ threat to the satellite industry’s ‘ownership’ of the 3700-4200 MHz C-Band Downlink Band. The Wireless Industry has petitioned the FCC to re-assign all 500 MHz to 5G usage, ending FSS Satellite usage that stretches back almost 50 years.
The Worst Case Outcome from the FCC assignment and rule changes, could end C-Band use for satellite communications – this urgent, emergency SSPI South East program is an 11th hour clarion call to achieve these goals:
- Make sure that all possibly affected satellite using parties are aware of the threat and aware of the Teleport and Frequency Registration mandates that the FCC has imposed, BEFORE imminent deadlines for filing close.
- To publicize the latest developments in the resistance to 5G and the FCC threat.
- To rally support for protecting satellite’s usage of C-Band
