Cate van Oppen
Cate began her career as an intern for Kymeta after graduating with an MBA in marketing and finance from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. She quickly moved on to a variety of analyst roles and business development, eventually becoming manager of strategic partnerships reporting directly to Kymeta’s CCO. Now a Product Manager, Cate manages the services products and market strategy for Kymeta.She wrote the original KĀLO business plan for Kymeta’s fully provisioned end-to-end connectivity solution based around pay-for-what-you-use pricing, and was an integral part of the negotiation team with Intelsat, eventually serving as commercial lead for deal integration following closure, before taking her role in product. Cate is also a frequent speaker at major industry events, including yearly appearances at SATELLITE, Space 2.0 and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce IoT forum, among others.
